After 8 years of competing on the World stage and with the support from his sponsors, Sam Connor reverted to domestic competitions in 2006 with the intent to focus on other aspects outside of trials. During his riding career Sam finished as high as 12th overall in the World Championship, narrowly missing out on winning the European Championship, winning and retaining two World Titles for Great Britain in the Trials Des Nations competition and achieving his ultimate goal of claiming victory in the 2005 Scottish Six Days Trial.

This year, as well as competing in selected National and British Championship trials with Beta for John Lampkin Imports, Sam has also used his skills to create a presence at Motocross and Enduro events in the South East.

Sam will continue to run his well established and successfull trials schools at the infamous Hook Woods Trials Centre and is currently planning to diversify these skills to include enduro training.
